Department of Geology

Applications are invited from Indian nationals with highly motivated and bright candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (Nos. 2) in the following research project funded by Ministry of Coal (MoC), Government of India, under the supervision of Dr. Debabrata Das, Department of Geology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Project Details:

Title- Development of Indigenous technology for extraction of critical minerals including rare earth elements from overlying strata of Northeastern coalfields, Assam, India.

Project Implementing Agency- Panjab University, India and Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. Project In charge- Dr. Debabrata Das (Principal Investigator), Dept. of Geology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, 160014.

Funding agency – Ministry of Coal, New Delhi, Government of India. Duration – 24 months

Study area – North Eastern Coalfields Region, Assam, India.

Education Eligibility of Position-1: Masters in Geology/Applied Geology with 55% marks or above and qualified GATE/National Eligibility Test/ State Level Eligibility Test/ any level JRF qualified Test. Education Eligibility of Position-2: Masters in Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ Material science/ Chemical Engineering/ Nano Technology/ Metallurgical and Materials Engineering with 55% marks or above and qualified GATE/National Eligibility Test/ State Level Eligibility Test/ any level JRF qualified Test.

Salary- Rs. 37000 pm + 16% HRA (fixed)
